🧭 My Journey

My path hasn’t been linear...and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I returned to college later in life and experienced one of my proudest moments when I graduated with my son from Mount St. Mary’s University. While working full-time, I earned my MBA and began to envision a bigger purpose beyond my professional title.

The spark that lit the fire for Solace Beacon happened when I joined the Leadership Frederick County program. It opened my eyes to how deeply connected we all are, and how powerful community can be when we show up for each other. That experience gave me the courage to take my lived experiences, heart for service, and strategic thinking and turn it into something transformational.

💛 Why Do This Work

Because I know what it’s like to walk through transition, and to rise, with support.

The heart behind Solace Beacon comes from lived experience. I’ve had mentors and coaches who helped me move forward when things felt uncertain. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is to have someone walk alongside you with compassion, clarity, and no judgment.

I do this work because everyone deserves that.

Especially those navigating complexity, whether it’s recovery, identity shifts, trauma, or simply the messy middle of becoming. I work with individuals who may not see themselves reflected in traditional systems of support. Many come from diverse and adverse backgrounds, and yet, their potential is powerful. They just need the right kind of steady presence and space to move at their own pace.

This work is about creating that space, where transformation feels possible, where people are met with honesty, structure, and belief in what they’re capable of.

Because no one should have to figure it all out alone.

🌿 Life Outside of Solace Beacon

When I’m not supporting clients or serving in the community, I’m spending time with the people who matter most—my family and friends—sharing stories, laughter, and presence. I also recharge with my two Australian Shepherds, Willow Grace and Cooper Jay, who keep me grounded and remind me daily of joy and simplicity.

My place of true solace is the beach. Sitting by the ocean with my feet in the sand, watching the waves roll in, everything slows down. The breeze carries away the hustle and noise of life, and I’m reminded to pause, reflect, and simply be. That stillness, that presence—it’s at the core of what I hope to offer through Solace Beacon.

🫶 In the Community

My work is grounded in community. I believe that true, lasting transformation is nurtured through connection, and I’ve committed myself to building and contributing to a powerful local ecosystem of care. Through the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, I serve as a board member, sit on the Women in Business Committee, and contribute to the Leadership Frederick County Council—the very program that helped spark Solace Beacon. I also serve on the Fund Development Committee for SHIP (Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership), the Special Gifts Committee for Frederick Health Hospital, and act as a mentor for Women to Women. As a Rotarian with Key City Rotary, and a member of both the Women’s Giving Circle and Frederick Health Good Samaritan program, I stay closely connected to those creating impact on the ground. Additionally, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) through the Mental Health Association, I advocate for the best interests of children navigating abuse and neglect in family court.

These relationships aren’t just affiliations, they form a living, breathing network of support that Solace Beacon can draw from to walk with clients more effectively. This community is my compass, and an extension of the safe, strategic, and heart-centered guidance I strive to offer every person I serve.

“Solace Beacon was born from lived experience, community awakening, and the belief that people deserve someone who will walk with them, not talk at them.”
